ADHD In Women
For decades, ADHD in women was often misdiagnosed in women. Many women were overlooked, misdiagnosed, or told they were simply disorganized, emotional, lazy, or 'not trying hard enough'. ADHD is a neurodevelopmental difference that affects executive functioning, attention regulation, memory, emotional regulation, and task initiation.
In my personal life, it took years!! To get an actual diagnosis, and on top of that finding the proper medication, treatment and long term care is a life long process. It took an actual bribe of a new iPhone (from my wonderful mother of course!) to convince me to want to graduate high school... just sad. Unfortunately, ADHD unmedicated can not only cause harm to but YOUR FUTRE SELF!!! THE ONES WHO CARE ABOUT YOU!! AND ANYTHING YOUVE EVER CARED ABOUT> https://howtoadhd.com/

The Overlooked Signs:
- DayDreaming
- Fourgetfulness
- PEOPLE PLEASING
- Procrastionation
- EMOTIONAL SENSITIVITY
- Feeling overwhelmed
- Trouble with time management
- Constant mental and physical exhaustion
Why Its Missed:
Many women spend years becoming expects at looking "fine" while quietly carrying overwhelm. Masking can make ADHD harder to recognize and can contribute to burnout, anxiety, low self esteem, and chronic stress. I can personally attest to this myself.
How ADHD Shows up Throughout Life:

- Childhood: Creative, energetic, sensitive, and often misunderstood.
- Teen Years: Overachieving, people-pleasing , or withdrawn while struggling internally.
- Adulthood: Juggling a million responsibilities while feeling behind or overwhelmed.

Anecdote
I remember being 14 and working in my school library as a library assistant, and for the first time in my life books were being reading that i could actually read through and be so intrigued by id be able to finish. For a long time before that, and since i started reading honestly, some books you start and can generally predict the ending.. If you can follow what I'm writing you understand and should get the help you deserve. ADHD isn't always a inability to focus. Sometimes its focusing on EVERYTHING. YOU DESERVE UNDERSTANDING, NOT JUDGMENT> Diagnosis, not assumption's. Support, not shame. Tools that actually work for YOUR brain.
